TECHNICAL
SPECIFICATIONS

The electrically heated hose W-type is based on a smooth bore PTFE core with an high resistance external braid in stainless steel AISI 304. Recommended for low operating pressures, it can reach 265 bar (with Ø 3/16" internal hose and temperatures up to 130°C / 266°F). It's available in the following versions:

T100 for operating temperatures up to 100°C (212°F)
T200 for operating temperatures up to 200°C (392°F)
T250 for operating temperatures up to 250°C (482°F)

Nominal diameter of the internal hose from 3/16" to 1.1/8".
Lenght on request without limits.

OPERATING PRESSURE

OPERATING TEMPERATURE / VERSIONS

Beyond 130°C (266°F) the maximum operating pressure should be reduced by 0,5% per degree (for example at 180°C, the maximum operating pressure should be reduced by 25%, ie 199 bar).

The maximum operating pressure is calculated on the basis of a 4:1 safety factor relative to the burst pressure.

APPLICATIONS

FOOD INDUSTRY

Conveying semi-finished food products: e.g., jams, chocolate, sugar treacles. Handling of glues/animal fats and of casein type (temperature range 40°-50°C).

PHARMACEUTICAL / COSMETIC

Maintaining the temperature of products which suffer low winter temperatures, e.g., copolymer emulsions, sugary solutions, pharmaceutical mixtures, cosmetic mixtures, water (to prevent it freezing) and numerous other products.

ISOCYANATE / POLYOL

Machines and equipment for the distribution of isocyanate/polyol. In this case, the hoses are marked red/blue as the fluids must always be transported by the same hose up to the application point where mixing will occur to obtain the desired final product.

PACKAGING

Hot-melt adhesive application. Fields of application: packaging, publishing, woodworking industry, mattress manufacture.

CHEMICAL

Fume sampling and analysis in power plants and refineries.

POLYURETHANE

Application of polyurethane foams for packaging.

GAS AND VAPORS

Transport of corrosive chemicals, transfer of gases and vapors.
